Over the past 60 years, the Petersham Curling Club has expanded from its club origins to an organization serving the curling interests of the public in western Massachusetts and Northern New England. Each year, the Petersham Curling Club hosts over 500 curling participants through the combination of memberships, learn-to-curl & rental experiences, bonspiels (curling tournaments), and other miscellaneous events. As a purely volunteer organization, the Petersham Curling Club relies on the generosity of its members and its community for operational and organizational needs.
The traditional season for the Petersham Curling Club begins with ice installation in late summer. Curling leagues and events typically begin in October and continue through the winter, concluding in early April. Throughout the season, members of the Petersham Curling Club strive to create a fun environment for our members and work to spread the 'Spirit of Curling' to our visitors and community.
Every four years, the Winter Olympic Games bring a time of excitement to the curling world, including the Petersham Curling Club. During Olympic years, we join with curling organizations throughout the world in spreading our love of curling through additional Learn to Curl and Open House Events.
